The Midway is one thing that hasn't changed much. The same games are there now as were there when I was a pup 40 or so years ago, and the same games are in 2 or 3 locations. I don't recall seeing pineapple whip ice cream cones, but that does not mean they weren't there. You have to come and see for yourself.

If you like flying, try the rides out for size, but be prepared to pay. And don't carry anything loose with you, gravity takes over when you are hanging upside down!

Just ride US 50 into town, turn right at State Fair Blvd, and you're at the main gate in 3 blocks. We gave $2 to some folks just outside to park in their property and walked in. It was worth skipping the traffic hassle inside to do that. When we were done, we just walked out, got in the car, headed back to 50 on State Fair Blvd, and we were out of town and on our way in good order.
