Subject: Will They Be? Chap:6-11

Part 6

Setting: The penthouse

Robin and Stone are together in his room after having discussed Robin's "guilt" over accusing him for Jason's beating. Robin has asked Stone to make love to her for the first time. They are laying on his bed completely wrapped around each other kissing and caressing passionately.

Stone(pulls away slightly): "Robin, I love you so much. Are you sure this is what you want?"

Robin brings his lips back to hers, squelching the guilt that flared again.

Robin(between kisses): "Yes, Stone. This is what I want. I love you and want to be with you."

With that, Stone removes his jacket and pulls away to look down at her.

Stone(in awe): "Robin, my God. You are so beautiful."

Robin blushes at Stone's gaze. She doesn't answer him just leans in and kisses him once more. She beings to unbutton his shirt as she kisses his chest and runs her hands up the smooth muscles. Before she can stop it she thinks of Jason's toned, rock solid abs. With another flash of guilt she pushes the thought out of her mind and leans up to kiss Stone even more feverishly. Stone gently pushes her back on to the bed.

Later

Robin jolts awake and for a moment is disoriented. She then remembers where she is and what she has done. The memory, although sweet and more than she ever imagined, made her ill to think about it. She couldn't believe she was lying here with the man she loved after making love to him because she felt guilty. She began to feel nauseous and she knew she had to get out of there fast. Slowly, so as not to awaken Stone she pulls from his embrace and climbs out of bed. Gathering her clothes, she dresses quickly and quietly. She then leaves the penthouse.

Next Morning

Setting: The Boxcar

The woods were quiet, except for the occasional chirping of birds. Robin sitting in the boxcar, her legs dangling over the edge, was glad for the quiet. It gave her room to think. Unfortunately her thoughts were not giving her room to breathe. She couldn't go home last night, so she'd wandered around aimlessly for two hours before winding up here. She'd then sat up all night going over the events of the evening. She'd thought of her time with Stone and couldn't help but feel sadness over the fact that she and Stone were together last night. It held no joy for her, because it was done as an act of remorse. Remorse for kissing another man. 'Don't forget accusing Stone for hurting Jason.' She thought to herself. But something about that thought disturbed her and she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Robin breathed a heavy sigh and climbed out of the boxcar, and headed home. She figured she had better go and reassure Mac that she was alright and then shower so she could go see Jason and make sure he was alright.

Setting: Jason's Hospital Room

Jason has been up for awhile, impatiently awaiting Robin's visit.

Jason(thinking to himself): 'Where is she? Is she ok?' (He shakes his head and berates himself.) 'She's fine, stupid. It's barely seven thirty and what? You expect her to rise at the crack of dawn just to see you?' (Actually in a way he did expect that. It was just how his mind was working right now.)

Suddenly Jason's doors flew open and he found himself face to face with an angry Stone.

Stone(yelling as he comes in): "Where the Hell is she Morgan?!"

Jason(shakes his head): "Look, if you're looking for Robin, she's not here. I haven't seen her since last night. And judging by the looks of it neither have you. You that pissed off about her figuring out that you're the one who ordered my beating?"

Stone(laughs harshly): "Get real Morgan. I came here because I thought maybe you'd called whining to her about how much pain you're in. I mean why else would she leave my bed without leaving a note or something?"

When Stone mentioned him and Robin in bed, Jason flinched. A fact not lost on Stone.

Stone(harshly): "What's the matter Morgan? Can't stand the idea of the woman you're in love with in bed with someone else?"

Jason(just as harsh): "I don't know, I guess I feel about the same way you do whenever you find out the woman you love has been with me."

Just as Stone is about to fire back at him Robin comes in to the room. She is startled to find Stone there.

Robin(flushing slightly): "Stone, what are you doing here?"

Stone(smiling at her): "Well, you left in such a hurry this morning, I didn't get a chance to wake up with you. I missed you and though maybe I'd find you here."

Robin(nervously): "Well, you were right. You found me here." (She chuckles slightly.)

Stone(bending down to kiss her): "Well I'll leave you to your visit. I just wanted to kiss you good morning." (As he bent to kiss Robin he made sure to angle their bodies so Jason had a clear view of their lips. He pulled away and left the room.)

Robin turns to look at Jason. She can't read the statement on his face. His eyes are troubled, but his face is impassive.

Robin(concerned): "I know how uncomfortable that made you, and I'm sorry."

Jason(softly): "Just tell me one thing Robin."

Robin(just as softly): "Ok."

Jason(looks her in the eye): "How could you sleep with someone that you and I both know, you don't love?"

Will They Be? Part 7

Jason is in his hospital room and has already had a visit from Stone. Now he has Robin there and has just asked her a question that could have dire consequences.

Jason's Room:

Robin is just staring at him, her mouth agape. She can't believe he just asked her that.

Robin(in disbelief): "Excuse me? Where the Hell did you get an idea like that? Better still, when the Hell did you get the idea that what I do with Stone is any of your business?"

Jason didn't even flinch. He knew she'd be angry when he asked that question. But he also knew she was unhappy in her relationship and he was going to do whatever he had to, to get her to see that she could do better.

Jason(calmly): "First of all, I got the idea that it was my business, when your boyfriend"(manages not to sneer) "came to my room demanding to know where you were. Second, I get the idea that you don't from the fact that every time I see you, you're either crying or you have this look on your face like you're about to throw up."

Robin thought that after his question she couldn't be any more surprised. Boy, was she wrong.

Robin(trying to get out an intelligible response): "Why did Stone come to you?"

Jason: "Because he thought I called you, 'whining about how much pain' I was in. He figured that would be the only reason you left his..."

Jason trailed off, unable to complete that sentence. It was hard enough to hear Stone say it and have him rub it in Jason's face, but it would tear him apart to have to say it himself.

Robin(whispers): "Left his bed."(louder) "Oh Jason. I'm sorry. But you have to know that I'm going to be with Stone, because despite what you believe, I do love him."

Jason looks up at her and can see she's not being entirely truthful. To herself or to him, but he decides to let the matter drop.

Jason: "Ok Robin. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything. The thing is, I just want you to be happy. And lately that doesn't seem to apply where Stone is concerned. Then again it could be because of our friendship, so I guess now I really can't say anything."

The last bit was said with a twinge of sarcasm and Robin couldn't help but smile at his statement. But the first part of his statement still held her attention. It was obvious that he meant every word. He did want her to be happy, but she was. She was happy. Stone made her happy. Right? Yes, of course he did, does.

Jason watches Robin stand there without speaking, as though she is having some inner conflict about what he said. He was lost though, when he saw the half smile on her face. One corner of her mouth turned up while the other one just barely, almost unnoticeably, turned down. It was quirky and left his stomach feeling like there were warm hands trailing along the inside of his body.

Jason(finally speaking): "So, did you find out anything from Stone about who put me here?"

Robin (nods her head): "Yeah. It was one of his men who knew we were having problems. He was just trying to help Stone."

Jason is speechless. How could Stone have looked right at her and lied? He couldn't fathom it, until he looked up at her and met her soft, dark gaze. He never wanted to lie to her, but if the truth would take that wonderful light out of her eyes, if it would do anything to hurt her, well the the truth be damned.

Jason: "Well I'm glad that it wasn't what you thought."

Robin(trying not to stare at him): "Yeah me too. You know, in all that's happened so far, I haven't had the chance to ask how you're doing."

Jason: "I'm good actually. I'm getting out of here tomorrow."

Robin(excited): "Really? That's great. I'm glad to hear it. Maybe when you get out, we can go to Kelly's and have lunch."

Jason(hopeful at the suggestion): "Yeah, that'd be great."

He smiles at her hoping to get one in return. When he does that warm feeling comes back and spreads throughout his body. Feeling a pull in the lower region of his body he shifted on his bed. He could feel his ears turning red.

Robin(chuckling): "Jason, why are you blushing? What's going on in that head of yours?"

He looked up at her with a sheepish statement and pulled at the blanket. his movement drew her eyes there and she too began to blush. She was about to say something, or at least attempt to, when the door was opened and in walked a woman Robin had never seen before.

Woman(smiling seductively at Jason): "Hey Jason. How are you doing today?"

Jason(uncomfortably): "I'm fine Carly."

He'd barely gotten that out before he saw her look down at his body and immediately he knew she'd seen the reason for Robin's blush a minute ago. He groaned inwardly as he saw he eyes light up, knowing she thought it was due to her arrival. Robin was still standing at the end of his bed looking increasingly uncomfortable. And though he wouldn't swear to it, he thought he saw her glare at Carly's back. But the moment passed quickly and her features were if not friendly, at the very least impassive.

Jason(clears his throat): "Carly, I was kind of in the middle of a conversation. So if you don't mind..."

Carly looks around and spots Robin by the bed. Her eyes narrow to slits and she smiles falsely.

Carly(snidely): "Hello there. I'm Carly Roberts. And you?"

Robin looked at her a moment trying to sort out her thoughts. Carly's presence here irked her for some reason. She wasn't sure why, but she was sure that this woman should be kept as far away from Jason as possible. He was her friend after all and this woman didn't seem like anything but trouble.

Robin(politely): "Hi. I'm Robin Scorpio. I'm a friend of Jason's, I haven't seen you before. Are you new in town?"

Carly: "Yes, I just moved here a few months ago."

Robin: "So how do you know Jason?"

Carly: "Oh, I've seen him at Jake's and I was the one who brought him to the hospital."

Robin(softens a bit): "Well, I'm glad you were there to help him." (Sincerely) "And I'm glad that the people who did this were gone before you got there. Otherwise they might have tried to hurt you too."

Carly(snottily): "Well, I've wanted to get to know Jason for awhile, and even though it was under these circumstances, I'm glad to have finally met him."

Jason has grown increasingly annoyed with them for talking about him like he wasn't in the room.

Jason(annoyed): "Yes, well like I said. I was in the middle of a conversation so if you wouldn't mind..."

Carly(smiles at him): "Ok. Have fun. I'll see you later." The last part was said suggestively as she walked out of the room without a word to Robin.

Robin watches her leave then turns back to Jason. She is startled to find him glaring at her.

Robin(surprised): "What?"

Jason(irritated): "What the Hell was that? Talking about me like I'm not even here?"

Robin(sheepishly): "Sorry about that. I don't know what that was."

Seeing her so embarrassed he calmed down and changed the subject by telling her what Alan had said about his ribs.

Jason: "He said I couldn't do any heavy lifting for awhile. And I have to change the bandages twice a day."

Robin (worried): "I didn't know there was any damage to your ribs."

Jason: "Yeah, I landed on some glass in the alley when I fell. They had to put in stitches."

Robin(pales): "Oh my God Jason. I thought you said you were alright."

Jason(soothingly): "I am. There weren't that many stitches, although I can't get them wet for awhile. Which means," (looks at his watch) "in about ten minutes a nurse is gonna be in here to give me a sponge bath."

Robin(blushing): "Well I should probably get going. I'll see you later and if you need any help with your ribs let me know."

Jason(smiling wickedly): "Even for the sponge bath?"

Robin blushing furiously looks at him and sees the evil twinkle in his eye.

Robin(simply): "Yes."

Jason(mouth agape): "What?"

Robin(snickering): "I'm gonna be a doctor after all. I gotta learn how to be impassive at seeing people without their clothes on. I really should get going. Bye."

She starts to lean in to kiss his cheek, but stops when she remembers the night before.

Robin(to herself): 'Oh stop it. He's a friend and that was a fluke.'

She leans in again and brushes her lips against his cheek, this time, however, he turns purposely to capture her mouth with his own. He doesn't wait before his hands cup her face and tilt her head to get a better angle. Jason moves his mouth against hers, tasting her, teasing her lips apart with his tongue. She opens her mouth and he touches her tongue with his. Sliding it along hers until he is fully inside the hot pink regions of her mouth. As he drags the tip against the roof of her mouth she comes forward and stumbles slightly. He wraps an arm around her waist, initially to steady her, but winds up pulling her to the edge of the bed to sit next to him. Coincidentally her back is towards the pillows and Jason turns his body to face hers. he leans back pushing her to the bed, his body covering hers and his mouth muffling the small sexy moans coming from her. His hand slide from her waist down to her hip and moves to her stomach as he slowly slides it under her shirt. He feels her skin and glides up toward her breasts.

Voice: "Jason, wake up. It's time for your pain killers."

Jason groggily opens his eyes and searches around for Robin, for any sign of what he had just experienced with her. All he saw was Bobbie in front of him.

Jason: "Where's Robin?"

Bobbie(handing him the pills): "She left about ten minutes ago. She said you fell asleep before she left. Amy will be in soon for you sponge bath."

Jason takes the pills and thanks Bobbie. She leaves and Jason is once more left alone with his thoughts of Robin.

Jason(to himself): 'That was only a dream? Oh God.'

He looked down at himself and groans, wishing, more than anything, that he could take a cold shower.

Part: 8

Setting Jason's Room at GH:

Jason has just awakened from a fitful nights sleep. All he did all night was dream of Robin, reliving the intense fantasy he'd had earlier. Only these dreams were far more intense than before. He groans inwardly as he remembers the last dream, Him making love to her in the grass next to the bridge. She was moaning softly, her skin glistening with sweat, her tiny hands gripping his shoulders as wave after wave of passion-filled ecstasy coursed through her. This dream was so intense he could almost feel her orgasm around him.

Jason(to himself): 'What am I going to do?'

Just as he finished that thought, he heard a knock on his door. Suddenly a very welcome sight peeked her way around the edge. Her hair was back in a ponytail and her brown eyes were filled with mischief.

Robin(smiling at him): "Hey there big fella! How ya doing?"

Jason couldn't help but smile at her. She was just too cute sometimes. She just exuded happiness sometimes and it was contagious.

Jason(smiling even wider as she comes closer): "Hey yourself. Not that I'm not glad to see you, but what are you doing here?"

Robin(sitting on the bed): "I came to see you silly."

Now that she is closer, Jason can see that something is on her mind.

Jason(lowers his voice): "Robin, don't pretend with me. What's the matter?"

Robin's lower lip began to quiver as she recalled the night before.

*flashback*

Robin awakens to the sound of arguing downstairs. She turns over to look for Stone but sees he is no longer in bed. She hopes that he isn't upset because she didn't want to make love to him tonight. She gets up from the bed and dresses quietly. Coming to the top of the stairs she can hear the shouting even more but the words are still not clear. She makes her way to the landing and sees Stone, Sonny and Brenda all downstairs yelling at each other. Well Brenda seemed to do the most yelling. Robin was about to turn around and go back upstairs when she heard her name. She stopped to listen.

Brenda(angrily): "Where the Hell do you get off just attacking people because you don't like that they are friends with your girlfriend? How do you think Robin is going to react when she finds out?"

Stone(seething): "She's not going to find out, because you're not going to tell her."

Brenda(appalled at this): "And you're so sure because?"

Stone(matter of factly): "Because this would hurt her and that is the last thing you want to do."

Brenda(enraged beyond reasoning): "You bastard! How could Robin have ever fallen for someone like you?"

Sonny(trying to calm her down): "Brenda, honey wait a second."

Brenda(turning to him): "And you! I bet you knew about it didn't you?"

Sonny opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. Robin, sick of waiting makes her presence known.

Robin(shakily): "Yes Sonny, let's hear your answer. Did you know Stone was the person behind the attack when you looked me in the eye and lied to me? When you let me feel guilty for even *thinking* something like that about Stone?"

Sonny sees the tears coursing down her face and wants to reach out to her, but Brenda beats him to it. She wraps her arms around her "little sister" and tries to calm her down.

Sonny(looking at his shoes): "Yes. I did."

He couldn't look at her. The guilt he felt was too strong. He heard Robin come further down the steps to stand in front of Stone.

Robin(icily): "And you. You lied to me. You looked me straight in the face and had the nerve to comfort me for feeling bad about suspecting you. You let me mak... Oh God. I think I'm going to be sick."

Robin clamps her hand over her mouth and bolts for the bathroom. A minute later the sound of flushing is heard and then Robin comes back out.

Robin(to Brenda): "Bren, I'm gonna go back to Mac's now. Can you come with me? He's out of town and I don't feel like being by myself right now."

Brenda regards her friend and doesn't hesitate to answer in the affirmative. They make their way to the door when Stone rushes up and grabs Robin's arm.

Robin(pulls away): "Don't you dare touch me! Never again!"

Stone(his features hardening): "You didn't seem to have those feelings the other night when you practically begged me to make love to you. Why was that? Hmmm? Because golden boy Jason was in no position to fulfill your needs?"

He makes sure to insert as much contempt in those last words as he can.

Sonny is shocked by Stone's treatment of Robin, but is even more shocked when he sees her lift her hand and slap him fully across the face. She then turns and with Brenda in tow, marches out the door slamming it behind her.

*end flashback*

Robin's eyes are filled with tears that begin to spill over as she recounts the events of the previous evening. Jason lovingly wipes her tears away and does his best to soothe her.

Robin(sadly): "And what makes it worse, is I only asked him to because..."

Jason(prods her): "Because why?"

Robin(unable to look at him): "Because I felt guilty."

Jason(confused): "Guilty for what? For thinking he did this?"

Robin(nods): "Partly. But also for..."

Again she pauses and Jason tries to get her to finish but she refuses.

Jason(frustrated): "Robin please. Please tell me."

Robin hates to hear him practically begging like that. So she decides to throw caution to the wind.

Robin(tiredly): "For wanting to be with you. I want to be with you Jason. All this time I've been with Stone, the only thing I think about is being with you. God, I mean I even thought about you when I was making love to him. I need you Jason. But I just can't right now."

With that, Robin gets off the bed and leaves a stunned Jason there. Outside the room, Robin leans against the wall and lets the sobs come. She couldn't do this right now, she couldn't just get involved like this. She couldn't...

Her thoughts were interrupted by a fully clothed Jason flinging open his door. They meet eyes for a moment before Robin again tries to make her escape.

Jason(desperately): "Not this time Robin. You're not running away this time. I won't let you."

He pulls her to him and backs in to his room. Taking both her arms in his hands he leans her against the door. He presses his body in to hers, marveling at the thrill that went through him at the contact. His breathing came in shallow spurts as he looked down at her.

Jason(breathing heavy): "Robin.."

Robin(trying to pull away): "We can't. I don't want you hurt Jason."

Jason looks down at her and knows that no argument he could verbalize would change her mind so he did the only thing he could. He tightened his grip on her arms and brought his lips to hers. She moved and tried to squirm away but his kiss was unrelenting. He moved his lips against hers opening them to bring out his tongue and lick her closed lips trying to tease them apart. She relented with a gasp and threw her arms around his neck pulling him closer to her. She eagerly accepted his tongue as it swept through her mouth. She could taste him and it was an intoxicating flavor one she wanted more of. Robin moved her hands from his neck to his face and down his chest to the hem of his shirt. Unaccountably, she wanted him now more than anything. She brought her hands under his T-shirt and was intrigued by the sculpted muscle she found there. Letting her hands roam his abs and up to his chest, she paused for a moment to graze his nipple with her nails. He hissed in her mouth and moved one of his legs between hers. She accepted without protest and was filled with a rush of desire as his arousal was made evident. She pushed her hips farther into his, arching against him and enjoying it when he moved against the sweet pressure of her thigh against his groin. This was what she had been missing that night with Stone. This passion that overwhelmed her and clouded her senses. She was lost until she felt his hands under her tank top moving against her skin. As much as she loathed pulling away from him she did.

Jason(surprised): "Robin? Wha-"

Robin couldn't resist shooting her lips towards his for one more sweet kiss. She reveled in his groan and in the way he rubbed against her body creating friction and heat that would soon ignite into full blown passion if not tempered for a while.

Robin(pulling away again): "Jason, we have to stop. They'll be coming to release you soon. Plus I have to meet Brenda for lunch. I'm sor-"

Jason(silences her with a kiss): "Shhh. It's ok. Don't apologize. Just meet me later. Ok?"

Robin nods her head and brings him to her lips once more before pulling away and walking out the door.

Part: 9

Setting The Outback:

Robin has been sitting at the counter waiting for Brenda for almost forty-five minutes, when suddenly a pair of arms wrap around her waist and she feels a kiss dropped on to her neck. She turns on the stool and recoils in disgust when she sees Stone standing there.

Robin(angrily): "What the HELL do you think you are doing?"

Stone(softly): "Apologizing. Robin I am so sorry for what I've done. It was all to keep from losing you and all I did was make it so you left. I need you back. Please come back to me."

Robin(stiffly): "Well I don't need you. As you so aptly put it last night, Jason is no longer in a position where he can't fulfill my needs."

Robin's lip curls in to a sneer as she finishes her sentence. Stone is beyond shocked at that.

Stone(now angry): "So you *are* sleeping with him." No question just statement. "God, you are a slut. You know that? I've given you everything you could possibly want. I mean I took a shy mousy girl, that no one else even wanted to touch and brought her in to my life to offer her whatever she wanted, and what happens? she sleeps with the first, well actually I should say second because I did too, brainm damaged idiot to offer her his bed. How much longer do you think he's gonna be with you Robin? Hmmm? How long before he realizes you're just not worth it?"

Robin had blanched at the beginning of his speech and had grown paler as it went on. Now her eyes filled with tears as she spoke to him.

Robin(tearfully): "I fell in love with you Stone. I never wanted to hurt you, ever. I'm sorry I did. But you can't mean all that."

Stone(bitterly): "Oh but I do Robin. You were a way for me to occupy my time until something better came along."

Voice(angrily): "Well then it's time you left Stone, because she's found something better."

Stone turned around in disbelief as he stared at his best friend.

Stone(disbelieving): "Sonny, how can you take her side? She betrayed me."

Sonny(shouts): "Save it! You are worse than even I am Stone. You have something precious in Robin and you purposely trash it. I used to have respect for you man, but after seeing you treat a woman the way you are I don't want to be around you. I want you out of the penthouse. Tonight!"

Stone(hisses): "Oh I get it. There can only be two reasons that you'd turn on me like this. Either to get back in to Brenda's good graces so you can get laid or because you're already getting it from Robin. Boy she sure is gettin' around isn't she."

Sonny is incensed by that and draws back his fist, but before he can even move, Stone's head his flung back as another fist crashes into his jaw. Sonny turns and sees a seething Jason move to pick Stone off the ground. Jason pushes Stone away and rams his fist into Stone's gut.

Jason(pulling Stone up): "If you ever go near her again, you're going to regret it. What ever I have to do to protect her from you I will. How dare you talk to her like that? I don't care what you do to me, you will never get near her again unless that's what she wants. Understand?"

Stone(spits at Jason): "You are making a mistake boy. I will go near her if I want, there's nothing you can do to stop me."

Sonny(getting in his face): "No, but there's something I can do. I know you have men who are loyal to you, but the majority will follow me and my orders. And my orders will be to keep you as far away from her as possible. I think after hearing how you've treated her, Mac is going to agree wholeheartedly. Now leave!"

With that Sonny pushes Stone towards the waiting guards who escort him outside. He then turns to a crying Robin.

Sonny(softly): "Robin, I am so sorry. I never in a million years would have thought he was capable of that. And honestly, that I went along with it, doesn't make me any better."

Sonny hangs his head and goes to leave but stops when he feels Robin put her arms around his waist.

Robin(hugging him): "Thank you Sonny. I know why you did it. He was your friend. But.." She pauses and pulls away to look at him, "why did you take my side?"

Sonny(pulls her closer): "Because no one deserves what he's put you through. What we both put you and Jason through." Looks at Jason, "I'm sorry man. I'm more than willing to pay whatever bills you've got. Or.."

Sonny is cut off when Jason raises his hand and gently pulls Robin into his arms.

Jason(looks down at Robin): "It's ok Sonny. You made up for it just now when you protected Robin. I meant what I said, I don't care what happens to me, as long as she is safe."

Jason reaches out his hand and Sonny takes it just as Brenda walks into the restaurant. Her mouth falls open in shock.

Brenda(in shock): "Uh guys, did I miss something?"

Robin(smiling): "You missed a lot actually"

Brenda's shock turns to anger as she sees that Robin has been crying. Pulling her into an embrace she asks what happened. As the others fill her in her expression darkens.

Sonny watches her face as she listens to Robin tell her parts that even he missed. He knows how dangerous Brenda is when someone messes with her little sister. Robin meant the world to Brenda and she'd give up anything for the younger girl.

Brenda(smoothes Robin's hair speaking calmly): "Well that's it then. I'm going to have to kill him."

Brenda turns to leave the restaurant, but Sonny grabs her and pulls her to him.

Sonny(softly): "Baby it's ok. Don't do anything, I've got it covered. Besides Robin needs you here and so do I for that matter. Neither one of us wants to see you in that nasty prison garb." He smiles at her dimples blaring and the four of them turn to get a table.

Meanwhile, outside Stone is watching the scene unfold.

Stone(to himself): 'You are all gonna pay for this. I'm gonna get Robin back no matter what I have to do.'

With that in mind, he turns and heads into the shadows.

Part 10

Setting: Jason's apartment

Robin and Jason have just come in after having dinner with Sonny and Brenda. Robin is laughing at something Jason has said and he's watching her with a smile on his face.

Robin(giggling): "What?"

Jason(coming closer): "You. You are so beautiful and it's so good to hear you laugh."

He touches her arms and then uses them to guide her closer to him. She in turn tilts her face up to his, meeting dark eyes to blue.

Jason(softly): "If you want me to stop, let me know."

Robin(whispers): "Please don't."

And within that whisper, Jason's lips have captured hers in a searing kiss that left them both dizzy yet soaring. He pulls her further into the embrace and wraps his arms around her gently. Robin's arms snake around his neck and draw him even closer. For long minutes they kiss, neither one of them truly aware that their mouths are still closed until Jason's tongue reaches out and licks her lips. She opens her mouth and meets his tongue halfway. The passion between them builds and Jason's hands move to her face, while hers move down his chest, lightly scraping over the fabric of his t-shirt. He winces involuntarily as her fingers glide over his injured ribs. Robin pulls away when she feels him tense.

Robin(concerned): "Jason? What is it? What's the matter?"

Jason(goes to kiss her again): "Nothing. Don't worry about it."

Robin moves out of his reach and as he stretches, he winces again.

Robin(edging him to the bed): "It's your ribs. I forgot about them. Just lie down and I'll take care of them."

Robin walks into the bathroom and rummages around in the cabinets. She emerges with a first-aid kit.

Robin(taking charge): "Ok. Off with the shirt."

She starts tugging on it.

Jason(smirks): "That anxious, huh? Well go right ahead, I'm not gonna stop you."

Robin(exasperated): "Would you help me, please?"

Jason(looking down): "And have to give up this view?"

Robin looks down and can see that her shirt gapes enough from her body to allow him to see down it. She blushes fiercely and goes to back away but he grabs her arms.

Jason(pulling her closer): "Not to embarrass you further, but I have to take a bath before I can change the bandages. And I can't do that by myself, so I'm going to need your help."

Robin blushes even redder, but takes his hands and pulls him up gently. She turns around and walks him into the bathroom and sits him on the toilet.

Robin(starts the water): "Could you please take off your clothes so we can get you taken care of?"

Jason pulls his gaze away from its previous focal point and looks at her eyes. As he does this, it occurs to Robin she is bending at the waist and giving him a good view of her butt.

Robin(to herself): 'Good idea Robin. Let's arouse him before you have to see him naked.'

She blushes still redder than either of the times before and bends her body at the knees. She shivers when she feels breath on her neck.

Jason(softly in her ear): "Doesn't change a thing where I'm concerned. The view is still incredible."

He lowers his lips to her neck and proceeds to kiss her all the way up her jaw line, stopping only to turn her around and pull her close to him again. He kisses her lips and is disappointed when she realizes all too quickly, that he is now in nothing but his boxers. She pulls away and quickly turns to check the temperature and the level of the water. She then turns back to him and hastily, yet gently, removes the bandage from around his ribs.

Robin(not looking at him): "Ok. We're ready..." (feels her face heat up) "I mean the tubs ready... oh just get in."

Jason pulls off his boxers and settles himself gently in the tub.

Jason(blushing slightly): "Ummm, Robin? I'm gonna need your help and you can't really help if you're not looking at me and ummm....water is clear so ..."

She gets his message and grabs the soap from the dish, lather a sponge on the side of the tub. She rubs it gently along his back and shoulders, trying not to notice how good his skin looks when it's wet. She moves the sponge around his neck and tries desperately to block out the sound of the low moan as he tilts his head back against the tub. She moves the sponge over his chest and down his rock solid abs, moving in a circular motion, yet strategically placing the sponge in direct eye-line so as not to catch a glimpse of anything not seen before. On him, by her, that is. She gently cleanses the wound, peering closely at it. She can see that it is comprised of lots of deep scratches and one puncture. She unconsciously runs her fingers through his hair to soothe him as he hisses in pain at the stinging of soap in the wound. Soon, all that is left is washing his hair. To look at it, you'd think that it was stiff and unyielding due to the gel he used, yet Robin found it was surprisingly soft as she worked the shampoo to a lather. Her fingernails gently massaged his scalp and again he moaned in pleasure. Robin softly nudged Jason to the front of the tub and tilted his head back so she could rinse the soap from his hair. When she's done she pulls back and turns to grab a towel. She hears him moving in the water and then hears his grunt of pain and quickly turns around, concern blocking out everything else.

Robin(worried): "Jason? What's wrong?"

She looks down at his wound and sees something she didn't notice before. The wound had been pulled slightly along the line where the stitches were.

Robin(helping him out of the tub): "How did that happen?"

Jason(leaning on her): "I think it happened when I punched Stone."

Robin wraps the towel around his waist and he can see her angry eyes blazing.

Jason(touches her face): "Robin? What's wrong?"

Robin(angrily): "What's wrong? You tell me that you sat through dinner after nearly ripping out your stitches and didn't say a word to anyone about it and you ask me what's wrong? What the Hell is the matter with you? Don't you care what happens to you at all?"

Robin brushes furiously at her cheeks when she feels hot tears coursing from her eyes.

Jason(wiping her tears): "Of course I do. But I care about you more. I wanted to make you feel good tonight and I didn't think mentioning something that would remind you of your ex would do that. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, I just didn't want Stone to be a factor for awhile."

Robin(shakes her head): "No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to freak out like that. I guess I just hate to see you suffering so much because of me."

Jason(shaking his head): "I'm hardly suffering Robin. And even if I were, it's not because of you." (holds his hand up as she starts to argue) " No, Robin. It's because of Stone and his crappy treatment of you. Not because of anything you did, but because your ex-boyfriend is an ass."

Jason pulls her to him and rests his head on hers. Robin pulls back from him and takes his hand to the bedroom. There, she takes out the bandages and disinfectant. She takes a clean cotton pad and cleanses deep in the wound, making sure to disinfect it completely. She then takes the bandage and wraps it securely around his ribs fastening it with medical tape.

Robin(holding his face): "do you have any idea how much you mean to me?"

Jason(smiles and gets up from the bed): "Hopefully as much as you mean to me."

Jason goes to his dresser and pulls out a clean pair of boxers and puts them on. He notices Robin has turned to face the wall. Jason walks over to the bed slowly and sits down, taking her shoulders in his hands and smoothing out the knots that were there. She relaxed visibly and leaned back against his chest, moaning softly in her as her head came to rest on his shoulder. He leaned over and gently kissed the side of her forehead. She sat up and got up from the bed. Jason was disappointed, but didn't argue when Robin turned back the covers and motioned for him to get in bed. He crawled under the blankets and looked at her.

Jason(moving over): "Robin, stay with me for awhile. Please?"

Robin got in the bed next to him, taking off her shoes before laying down. He moved closer to her, taking her in his arms as she laid her head on his chest.

Jason(already drifting): "You are so beautiful."

He looks down at her and kisses her lips softly and passionately before closing his eyes to sleep.

Jason(tiredly): "Wait. How will you get home?"

Robin(soothing him): "I'll ask Sonny to send a car."

Jason(nods): "Ok. Robin?"

Robin(looks up at him): "What?"

Jason(softly): "I love you."

Robin smiled tearfully as he fell asleep. She leaned up and gently touched her lips to his before she too succumbed to the exhaustion that this day had brought.

Hours later

Setting: Scorpio house

Robin has just gotten home from Jason's after Sonny's driver brought her over. She didn't see her uncle's car in the garage so she figured he was with Felicia tonight. She smile softly as she made her way to the stairs. Robin still felt warm where Jason had been holding her when she woke up. When she got up from the bed, Jason, still asleep, reached for her. When his hand met nothing his brow furrowed and he began to wake up until Robin gently stroked his forehead and whispered that she would be back later. She left a gentle kiss on his lips as they curved into a small smile. Robin began to hum quietly as she slowly climbed the stairs to her room. She opened the door, went in and screamed when she felt a hand touch her shoulder. She turned and was about to shout at her visitor when he brought her to him and kissed her fully on the mouth.

Stone(quietly): "What? You didn't really think I'd let him have you did you? You belong to me Robin. Always and forever."

With that he reached up and touched her cheek gently. Robin pulled away from his touch and backed up until she hit the edge of her bed. She moved so quickly and the force so unexpected she fell on to the bed. Stone smiled at this.

Stone(smiling): "Glad to see you're cooperating Robin. Tonight, I forget about everything and we move on to better things. Don't worry Robin, you'll agree. You'll agree."

Stone turned from her and closed the door to the bedroom. He then turned back around and started moving towards the bed. Robin was so terrified by the crazed gleam in his eye, that she barely had time to scream before her world turned black and she fainted.
