Subject: What are the odds?

Jacob had his ingrown toenails cut out last week. We thought we were doing well as things looked good. Well Saturday Robert noticed a blister underneath the big toe on his left foot. Tonight we had to take him to the emerg as his toe along with his foot is swollen and very red. It seems that for some reason his toe got nicked or maybe already had a cut and when they put the rubber band around his toe so that it wouldn't bleed too much it got irratated and this caused his toe to form a blister and because he moves his feet so much he seems to have got dirt in it causing a severe infection. So now its antibiotics for a week and I have to dress his toe 1-2x daily and apply polisporin. The doc said it is rare thing to happen but leave it to Jacob. So now I have him home from school till Monday. Chris
