Subject: National Rally – 2008 rescue plan announced

[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 05:33:25 08/29/07 Wed The ACU has announced the National Rally will take place on 5th-6th July 2008 – celebrating it’s 75th year. Feedback suggested that the location of the Final Control venue (73%), Special Test being held on the Monday (31%) and date change (28%) were the three main issues, with the lack of publicity also being accepted as a contributory factor towards the poor entry list that led to the cancellation of the 2007 event. The Final Control has been brought back to a more central location - Bletchley Park, Nr Milton Keynes. The Special Test, for Platinum Award entrants, will be held at MIRA, Nr Nuneaton on the Saturday 5th July, before the start of the Rally. A new award will be introduced for riders who want to finish at Final Control, but do not want to ride through the night. The Daytime Award entrants will start in the early hours of Sunday morning.
