Date Posted: 09:45:22 01/04/08 Fri In reply to: Bob 's message, "Bristol and South West “most popular biking region”" on 05:27:28 01/03/08 Thu This area has always been "Bike Country" Bob,maybe as you're never very far away from excellent roads whether it's fast A roads you want,interesting B roads,coastal routes,Moorland or pretty much anything else that tickles your fancy.Most places are also bike friendly and if you're considerate most places will turn a blind eye to parking on wide pavements e.t.c.Plymouth City Centre in particular has several free bike parks,lets bikes use Bus lanes e.t.c.Also several regular ride outs and meets in Summer,Paignton bike nights are massive,the annual Plymouth Megaride attracts 8000 bikes to the actual run and several more who skip the actual ride but go straight to the events on the Hoe,several other well-established charity runs throughout the summer.
