Summing up the inquest, District Coroner Stuart Fisher said: "It was a well-managed event. The response of the marshals was prompt, and the medical back-up was excellent." Martin died after he lost control at Goose Neck and collided with a tyre wall. He was airlifted to the neurosurgical unit at Leeds General Infirmary, but had already sustained fatal injuries.
