 I reckon the rot set in when they bought Happy Eater and their initial competition was gone.

Of course, these days they've got Burger King, McCardboard and (my favoured option) if you see a Travel Lodge they've often got deals with a pub chain (can't remember which one), so you get a good meal in a pub environment for a decent sum of money.

Put the latter against a plastic burger and I know which one I'll opt for.
