The container ship was abandoned by its crew after being holed during storms and deliberately run aground to stop it from sinking. Gareth Topping, 32, from Sidmouth, helped himself to a 1200cc BMW motorbike worth £9,095 but filled in a form before taking it away " I saw about 30 BMW bikes all boxed up, in pretty good nick” he said.
