The four-year plan will seek to improve rider awareness, skills and knowledge. Also planned is research into the impact of new road space management such as bus lane sharing. Mr Pallas also announced the allocation of A$6.3 million (£3.25 million) to improve known motorcycle blackspots around the state, the bulk of which will be directed towards upgrading fences and barriers, improving road signage, installing reflective guideposts, line-marking and sealing selected roads Victoria has an encouraging success rate with their schemes.
