They had an R1 "pursuit bike" some 5 years ago and are currently using an un-marked BMW sports model,mainly in Cornwall" for traffic duties,my Dad's seen it nick someone and says it has a "flashy" paint job with just small lights tucked under the front of the fairing and under the tail to let miscreants know they're nicked.I recently saw a Grey sports bike with a black fairing with POLICE written across the front in Plymouth,wasn't a standard paint job and I couldn't see any manufacturers or other police marking on it,strange one that,Cop was wearing usual bike cop gear(BMW un-marked rider wears plain black leathers) and it was something sleek like a late model Fireblade or Gixxer,strange one that and I've not seen or heard anything more about that particular bike.
