According to Nick Budimir, who is overseeing negotiations between the current owners and an interested business consortium, the potential investors have said they will consider building a speedway track – bringing the sport back to Walthamstow for the first time in 58 years. Mr Budimir said “There is no reason why we couldn't have a speedway racing track or a BMX track alongside the dog track. There is huge potential, and huge potential not to waste this leisure facility for the area.” Mr Budimir added “We have got to get the Stow back as a business.
