Date Posted: 08:41:13 06/08/06 Thu In reply to: Bob 's message, "Torys propose allowing left turns at red lights" on 05:16:12 06/02/06 Fri So, the Tories latest "Please vote for us, 'cos we're desperate" scheme is to let our traffic system be ruled by 'experience in the US' Anybody remember what happened a few years ago when a certain city in the US had 'a new concept idea to reduce traffic congestion' and installed a roundabout on one of their roads? It failed miserably because the US drivers couldn't understand it! I believe it caused more accidents in one week than that district had suffered in the previous year. (This may be true or just failing memory on my part) The fact is they bulldozed it and put a set of lights back up. And this is part of the Tories plan to get rid of Blair & co? All I can say is keep the ideas rolling, Tory party, you are doing a grand job of keeping a hopelessly inept Government in Power! Don't be silly, Vote Monster Raving loony Party!!
