Well I'd like to remensce AdamStock 2.0,

Somewheres in the 8-10 hour setup time, should have been a 2-3 hour setup now that I think about it, but a certain individual who I'm going to leave nameless, forgot to " train " his so-called Professional Tech Crew on how to wire up the fucking system up.

His maps of wiring diagrams were a fucking joke and it would take hours to figure out.

Sound was the easy part. It was the lighting system that was a bitch. I told this individual not to bring that lighting console to control the MAC 250s or 500s or 6969s fuck I can't remember that far back, but he did and it cost 4 hours of time fucking around because the console sucks a Steer's ballsack and should be replaced. We had trouble with the console a month earlier at a gig and this was no expection.

Just finishing the system about 5 mins before the show started, everybody was basically shitting bricks. I'm not even going to get started on the monitor board, well actually fuck it;

The monitor console was about 50 years old. Ok, well maybe 20, I had never laid eyes on it before, nevermind trying to operate the fucking thing. It wasn't until Mecha hit the stage was it pretty clear on the operation of this board. In the meantime, the super cocksling drummer from Yesterday's Trash, whom has or had an ego the size of his dream penis, was bitching and complaining that he couldn't hear his monitor. JBL wedges powered by a side of a Crest CA12, which is what about 1200watts? Yet this dumb shit couldn't hear his monitors. Was he deaf? probably not. Because he was wear UL rated sound muffs that take down the level of decibels. In fact, I'd left the level the same after YT finished up, and Adam was saying how loud the drum monitor was and most likely had temp hearing damage. That was the start of things.

On to...Superchild. Pretty talented group I thought. Nervous enough as it was trying to operate a monitor board, these guys, well 2 in general where not happy with my " mix ". I was told at the beginning of the show that Superchild never had a gig with monitors. In fact they hadn't even come up to be stating what they wanted in their ears. Ok I thought. Great. Piece of cake. WRONG! Never second guess the talent you boys and girls in sound land, now that I think about it, I think they have had monitor exposure prior to AS2. Who cares your saying? Well they sure did. Kim ( of the now glorious sensation Lillix ) gave me sneers throughout the show. Their guitarist, who's name escapes me because it's not important, flared up like a pack of hemorrhoids. These are hemorrhoids that Preparation H couldn't control. These were like bushfire, Kelowna style hemorrhoids. Honestly, and I don't think I've told anyone this before but I wanted to leave. I didn't want to stay and take another steaming nugget of shit. I survived and here to talk about it.

By the time Mecha got on stage, I'd gotten hang of the board and took control. Adam I believe asked for a slight change and that wasn't a problem. Done and Done. Rest of the gig went off without a hitch.

Seek and Destroy was a landmark at that show. Not because it's a good song, it's because it ended months of planning, side-splitting tech work, and a lot of patiences of all those involved. Well, that and the fact that Phil was screaming to get the fuck off the stage. That is a fond memory of Phil. What a mentor.

It's easy to watch the AS2 video and laugh and look back on it, I can't believe I remember it all still, even 2 years later.

That's my recolication of AdamStock 2.0.
