I think Bruce answered that on the Titanic message board. What counts are the photos of the REAL ship, not a builder's model, and those photos show WHITE interiors for the Titanic.

Perhaps they switched to red later when they decided to move the gold/yellow line down farther into the black. That builders model was restored wasn't it? If so then if it ws done after the Cunard/White Star merger the restorers may not have been familiar with what it was originally but what was currently in vogue, which was red.
