I've got nothing but pure luck to thank for it, but things did get a lot better for me with the employment situation all of a sudden last year, otherwise I can still relate to quite a bit of that. Especially what you said about people not answering questions. Not sure if I'm less impressed when they just blink and pretend like you never asked them and are hoping you'll forget you did or if they prentend like they don't know when you know they do. I guess the latter is worse, then not only do they think it's not worth telling you, they also think you're actually dumb enough to buy it when they play dumb. Not much better than if they just lied outright,really... I hope these are just idiots at work you're talking about and not anyone you thought you could trust before.

Take some long shots when you're applying for new jobs. You never know, you just might get it, I'd had a long run of very bad luck before I got my best job yet. And even if it's something you can't really picture yourself doing right now, it might be a nice change from what you've done before.
