Hi Melinda, how are you? Much better than me I hope. I have been doing some research on Freidrichs Ataxia(most recently the new link on your website)and I must say all I want to do is just cry. I haven't heard from you in a while and knowing that you were just recently ill, I am SO worried about you. It is so hard being so far away from you. All I have is some pictures of you and that is just not enough. I pray and pray and pray that a cure is found soon my dear, dear friend. I want to hold you in my arms and tell you everything is going to be OK. I love you so much Melinda and I hope that someday we will be able to meet one another in person. That is where I visit with you each and every day. The first time we meet. Wouldn't that be something!! Perhaps that maybe someday you will come to the United States and you and I, for the first time together, can go visit our little angel's grave. Only one thing would please me more and that is a cure. For you to get up out of your chair and walk across a room into my arms and say, "I did it!!", would put a smile on my face forever and ever.

If you ever need me, dear friend, just look up into the sky on a star filled night. Look to the brightest, most beautiful star. That is OUR star, the Friendship Star. Just look to it and dream as I will always dream of you.
