Phyliss Stingo, I lived "down the back" Grandma's house was on 86th St & Church Lane. Your right, it was called "Little Italy" and it was a great place to grow up. I,m sorry but i don't remember your last name. Where did you live?

WE LIVED ON AVENUE J BET. 82 AND 83RD. MY MAIDEN NAME IS MELE, I KNEW THE LAFEMINA'S THAT LIVED ON 82ND. ANY RELATION? WENT TO 115, GRADUATED IN 1947. MY BROTHER JOE PLAYED BASEBALL FOR OUR LADY OF MIRACLES, ON THE LOT WHERE THE SCHOOL IS NOW ON AVE. K AND 82ND. SEEMS LIKE A MILLION YEARS AGO.

I lived on E.82 between church lane and ave "j" went to 115 graduated in 51. two of my uncles played for Lady of Miracles, Fred & Anthony. My uncle Joe played for the Canarsie Dons. My grandma had 13 kids, I was the first grandson raised by grandma since Mom & Dad worked, so I was only 3 years younger than my uncle (Babe) Anthony. Your right It does seem like a million years ago

Hi,
We lived on East 82 between J&K I graduated from 115 in 1950 went into the Air Force 1955. Do you remember Frank Cajais? he would of lived next door to you. Also, across the street from you lived the Ortez family. I think if you lived on the south side of Ave J you went to 115., the other side of the street you went to 114.
Those were really the good old days of Canarsie, hoping to hear from you........
