Do I sense a let down of the team?
Or do you think it was just the absence of Norris, the heart of the team, was a reason for their performance last night?
Albany looked pretty good.
I thought that CCSU had a REALLY GREAT chance of pulling it off at times, but most of the calls went to the other side, which did not help matters on the field and minds of the players in blue at all.

Speaking of Norris, any status?

Please. 5 penalties for 41 yd. for CCSU, 4 for 52 yds. for Albany, and CCSU declined another holding call.

It was a close, hard-fought game won by Albany by the blocked punt and interception return.

Bocanegra missed the second half, is in hospital for tests, probable bruised kidney (was passing blood).

I thought Albany played better D then Central and got mopre scoring oppys. The better team won,

Tough loss. We must improve the passing game. In many ways I think UA and CCSU are nearly identical teams. Central does have a better running game, but Disch and the UA defense did their job.

The UA Defense was the better side for the day. We must rebound next week. Monmouth remains a big test in the future.

We won't be ranked, but could get some votes. UA should be in the top 25.

Straub from the Hearld continues to do a great job in covering the Blue Devils. He offers a fair and accurate description of the game and good insight of what worked and what needs work.

The next big test for CCSU is Monmouth. If we can win that game on TV, we can get back in the race for the NEC title.

The Herald's been doing a great job lately, and the Courant has started to step up theirs as well, but they still don't do it nearly as much as the Herald does.
