1. INTRODUCTION
This manual is used to describe the fire services installation for the Development Common of Proposed Commercial Development at N.K.I.L. No 6269,Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong.

II. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. The O&M manual should be divided into 7 parts as follows:

1.Fire hydrant/Hose Reel system
2.Manual & Automatic Fire Alarm System
3.Automatic Sprinkler System
4.Audio/Visual Advisory System
5.Portable Appliances
6.Fire Shutter
7.Water Upfeed System

2.The systems shall be submitted the certificate (FS251) for annual inspection to FSD and the owner/occupier as per requirement by the Registered Fire Services Installation Contractor.

III. FIRE HYDRANT/ HOSE REEL SYSTEM

1.Introduction
1.1 The entire building(B2,B1,G/F to 23/F and Roof is protected by a fire hydrant/hose reel installation consisting of permanently charged pipe of suitable dimensions leading to the hydrant/hose reel points, with each hydrant point fitted with a standard 65mm dia. instantaneous outlet and each hose reel point consisting of smooth bore 19mm internal diameter rubber tubing armed permanently connected to the hydrant supply main adjacent to the hydrants.

1.2 Equipment location and pipe run arrangements are shown in the attached as-fitted drawings.

2.Description and Operation of System

Two fire hydrant/ hose reel systems are provided for the entire building. The system are installed in accordance with the codes of practice for minimum fire service installations and equipment 2012.

2.1 Hydrants and hose reels to be provided to ensure that every part of the building can be reached by a length of not more than 30m of fire services hose reel tubing.

2.2 Two 36000 litres F. S water tanks to be provided as indicated on plan, one for West Tower (Tower 1,T1), one for East Tower(Tower 2,T2) and basement areas(B1/F & B2/F).

2.3 Two sets F. S intermediate booster pumps(one set (duty/standby) for West Tower(T1)) and (one set (duty/standby) for East Tower(T2) and basement areas (B1/F & B2/F), are provided to maintain a running pressure of not less than 350kpa with a minimum flow of 1800 l/min from any four hydrant outlets when water is being pumped through the F. S inlet at a pressure of not greater than 800 kpa. I The F. S intermediate booster pumps are also utilized as the fixed fire pump.

2.4 An independent F. S inlet are provided for each hydrant rising main. The All all F. S. inlets are interconnected.

2.5 Fire hydrant & Hose reel will not be provided in the CLP's independent staircase BST-tx1, BST-tx2, CLP's TX Room 1 to TX Room 4,TX Fan RM. & CLP's areas.
