The Story

In 1896, the Creek Family, was the richest in the country. They lived in a manor deep within the countryside. The manor had over 100 rooms, each used for various things. The family consisted of two girls, three boys, and of course the mother and father. They had a medium sized staff consisting of 10 servants. Each servant had their own job, and did before they were ever asked. Indeed this manor was in well order.

The grounds were just as large as the manor. There was a large lake residing in the back, with a bridge that led to a dock. The family and servants often went swimming there on warm summer days. To the side of the house, and a moderate size stables, with 6 horse stalls, and a bedroom for the groom. There were large fields where the horses could roam, and be horses. The cats chased the large rats around, and the dogs chased the cats. Everyone and everything was content.

One hot summer's eve, while the family sat at dinner, they heard a strange noise out side. Figuring it was one of the cats they ignored it. Later that night everyone went to sleep, without thinking how hot the next day would be.

The family never woke up the next day, nor did any of the servants. They all were just dead. They were discovered lying peacefully in their beds, in an endless sleep, even the groom who did not live in the house was dead. The cats, dogs and horses were still alive. Everyone was so baffled by this tragedy, which they searched unsuccessfully for the cause of the family's death.

They buried everyone in the family graveyard, which lay just beyond the lake. The family members at the first of the row, each with their names and age carved on the gravestone:

Robert Creek Senior Aged 45years

Clair Creek Aged 43years

Robert Creek Junior Aged 21years

Mikoa Creek Aged 19years

Susan Creek Aged 16years

Jake Creek Aged 7years

And

Jeramy Creek Aged 7years

The servants lay in a row behind the family, with their first name carved on the stone, and no more information on them.

Five years past, and the mystery of their death remained. Finally giving up, the detectives and police shut down the manor to all.

There the manor sat for one hundred and two years, waiting. The mystery remained locked up, and the graves in the graveyard were covered with weeds. The manor had fallen out of all memory, and not even troublesome teenagers went to the place to tear it up.

The oddest thing of it all, was everything remained spotless. The breakfast plates in the dining room were cleaned and ready to eat off of. The mantel places looked as if the had been recently dusted, and the bed were made. Not a signal speck of dust was in the air.

Finally the great-great-cousin of Robert Sr. received the empty manor in his fathers unknown will. Upon visiting the manor, and seeing how everything was an idea sparked in his brain. What if he was to open the manor for guests to come and stay? They could try to solve the mystery if they wished, and all would be settled if someone managed. But it was not the mystery that truly ran through the mans mind, it was the profit. You see, Mister Jake Collins, for that was his name, was a businessman, and like most businessmen he wanted profit, and profit he knew he could make with this idea.

So after receiving to key to the manor, he opened it up to the public. They could come and stay for as long as they like, for a small fee of course. They could roam the grounds, visit the family rooms, and live within the guestrooms.

So, do you want to visit the manor? It would be an adventure you'd never forget!
