For a moment he twitched then slinked away as though he had never been present. Far enough way that neither ears or eyes could sense the dragon took flight carrying him parallel to the deeper part of the valley. Sneaking closer once more, his orbs looked for a pond. None was found. Oh well the old fashioned way it is. Swiftly his pinions spread carrying him into a fast glide behind his prey.
