[> I see what you mean about inspiration -- MTsFan, 09:30:38 07/18/03 Fri

When a writer is inspired, the thoughts flow and the emotions are real. That's what happened here. I'm actually crying! What a marvelous story -- all the characters feeling and doing what we missed after Grave.

I especially liked the scene between Buffy, Xander and Giles (with the "Run awayer"). ;o) I love when BtVS makes me laugh and cry in the same ep. Looking forward to reading the next episode! :)

there was "too much drama" and I wanted a comical moment so I decided to use that

[> EXCELLENT Job -- NightTraveler, 02:06:32 07/19/03 Sat

REALLY good job....the emotions were real...and everything that happened I could see happening on the show. I especially loved the Buffy/Xander scenes, really rang true to their characters (especially xander's "I want my willow back" and the simple fact that Xander actually cried in front of buffy for the first time, finally stopped trying to be strog for everyone). I dunno if you are taking requests...BUT, have you considered possibly doing the "lost scenes" from conversations with dead people as a lost episode. I always thought it was strange that The First NEVER contracts Xander, Anya, and Giles. I don't know about you, but I never understood why he triggered spike, a guy NONE of the scoobies except buffy and maybe anya trust. If I were the first...I would've tried to get xander on my side since he was the heart of the scoobies (although he would NEVER go with the first), or maybe giles. But I dunno, if you are taking requests, It'd be awesome if you wrote a fic with the first contacting xander as Jesse, anya as one of her past victims, and giles as jenny on the night of conversations.

[> [> I'll be doing an episode along those lines -- Linda_Delurked, 10:18:23 07/19/03 Sat

I'm finishing something for another board at the moment, but there will be a season 7 episode called "Endings" which is set between "Storyteller" and "Dirty Girls" which has The First contacting Xander, Anya and Giles. I've already got the outline done and will have it written soon. Watch this space!

Hey, don't blame me. I gave Faithsguy the episode details right from the start. I knew exactly what I wanted to write.

Don't panic. I don't think my episode will wreck yours. It all revolves around a particular event in my ep, a new potential arriving in Sunnydale. I've sent you the details.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway - seeing as you've actually formed a coherent idea and all :) Mine is at the moment just a vague feeling of what I wanna do....:S

[> Faithsguy, this is just incredible -- Linda_Delurked, 10:24:40 07/19/03 Sat

I feel like I've been punched in the chest after reading this. It's as though I've actually been to Tara's funeral.

Everthing in this episode was spot on. You got all the characters down to a tee. The way the episode flowed, the sorrow of each of the characters, Willow's desperation, the Rack leftovers, everything was just perfect. I honestly felt that this was exactly how Dawn, Willow, Buffy, Xander, Giles and Anya would have been in the aftermath of Tara's death. A faultless episode. Well done!

This was excellent, faithsguy - but then I've already told you that about a gazillion times!!

My episode will seem like absolute shit compared to this.... why do I have to be next?!

Tara's funeral actually brought me to the edge of tears... extremely well done!

[> Fantastic ep -- EmilyIRE, 03:24:57 08/05/03 Tue

See I said I'd get around to reading it and now I have. It was a fantastic episode, I never thought that fanfic could seem like a real episode so much and affect me the way this did, I had tears in my eyes at Tara's funeral. It was also great how you showed Willow's recovery not to be a quick change back into Good Willow, that she still showed parts of Dark Willow. Don't know what else to say but I'm looking forward to the next ones.
