First of all, before I start, I TYPED ALMOST HALF OF WHAT I WANTED TO SAY AND THE PAGE REFRESHED AND *sigh* I’m back to square one…

Ok, well I thought the best saying in this chapter is “God is separate from the world and that some of the things we see in it are contrary to His will” (37). I think that it is so important for everyone to understand this because we can sometimes find ourselves blaming God for the absolute apparent devastating occurrences. For example, I’m not sure when everyone studied about the Holocaust, but I studied it in sophomore year… not that that the time is important but, Niche’s (I think) “God is dead” silenced the class. The Holocaust is horrible, but that does not mean that that was God’s plan. God has so much in store for us, every beautiful seed planted in our hearts to accomplish something greater. In any case, this was definitely where I saw the difference between the atheists, devout and religious people, and the pantheists.
Most of my friends from high school are pantheists. No one has a real strong grip on a religion yet; no one wants to offend anyone. However, in college now, most of my close friends are either, Muslim, Jewish, or Christian! =) And… from what I see… the Muslim religion involved a lot of memorization from the Torah… and… Jewish… those friends don’t express much about it.

I hope this wasn’t a lame response. =|
