Hm. Ok. Well I’m not entirely sure what the first thread meant.. whether or not I had to incorporate it…BUT! The main difference between Christian beliefs and dualistic views lies within whether or not the notion of good and bad are independent of each other. The REAL Christianity believes that everyone is created “good.” As people mature and face influences, “good” qualities catches onto “bad” qualities. Dualistic notions views that there is good and bad in everything! But nope! This can’t be (!!!!), because C.S. Lewis puts it in an excellent way… “to be bad, he must exist and have intelligence and will. But existence, intelligence and will are in themselves good. Therefore he must be getting them from the Good Power: even to be bad he must borrow or steal from his opponent” (Lewis 45). “Devil is a fallen angel” (Lewis 45). So basically we cannot be good and bad. God created us as good, and Jesus died for our sins. “Dark Power was created by God, and was good when he was created, and went wrong.” We are prone to “rebel” against good, “playing on our conceit and laziness and intellectual snobbery.”
