Did you know that you can have an e-mail reminder sent to you whenever David Warner is going to be on TV the next day? I've been using www.gist.com, and it's great (except that the reminder isn't sent to you till the night before, so if something's on at, say, 3 in the morning, you have to stay up kinda late to see the notice--or at least you do here on the east coast).

First, you have to sign up for the service by giving them your e-mail address. You can customize your listings by adding shows you like; just click on the title, and you should get a description and an option to add it to your listings. It's a little more tricky to add an actor to your preferences unless he's on their current "Top 40"-type list. You first have to find a listing for a show that has the person in it. (This shouldn't be at all difficult with DW! It was a little tougher with a couple of other actors I like. TVNow is a great way to find a listing for a particular actor though because they give you listings for a whole month at a time, whereas Gist's maximum is only a week in advance.) Once you find a listing for your chosen actor, click on the title for a description of the show or movie. Then click on the actor's name, and you should get an option to add the person to your listings. But you're still not done ... *Then* you have to customize your settings and turn on e-mail reminders for the person. Whew! A lot of work, but it'll save you from forgetting to watch something you really wanted to see. Gist only has listings for the U.S. though, as far as I know.

There's a similar service in the U.K.: www.mydigiguide.com, but I'm not sure whether they send you e-mail reminders, etc. I'd be curious to know if any of you tries it!
