I have to admit that I'm only slightly familiar with Mr. Warner's work in film, but his work on audiobooks is first rate. No one else should be allowed to read Edgar Allan Poe! What a talent! I found a few audiobooks that showcase the talent of Mr. Warner, including poetry readings of Edgar Allan Poe and William Butler Yeats and his reading of a novel titled "The Six Messiahs". If anyone knows of any other readings by David Warner, PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

Yes, I thoroughly agree! David Warner could make the phone book sound interesting. It's not the type of book I'd ordinarily be interested in reading, but didn't he make The Six Messiahs great? (Hearing him do Hamlet's "to be or not to be" speech as a man being tortured to death was quite an experience. I can't say I enjoyed it, but it was well done.) Besides that and the Yeats and Poe readings (you know there are two volumes of Poe, right?), I have the following audiobooks read by DW:

Murder for Love, Murder for Men (reading "The Loving You Get "by John Gardner)
The Club Dumas by Arturo Pérez-Riverte
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott
For the Good of the Firm (reading "The Prisoner's Defense" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)

FYI, the movie The Ninth Gate was based on The Club Dumas; I think the movie would have done better if DW had been in it! He'd have been a great Boris Balkan.

I think Jen Kramer lists a few more titles on her PicPal website; just click on the link at the top of the forum for a listing of all DW's work. You can also find some by doing a search on David Warner at Amazon.com.
