Subject: Action ideas!

Summary of some action ideas -

Media - Crypto had a good idea about holding the media responsible. They have to know that they are responsible for what they print and what they DO NOT print.

The recent Jenna Bush and boyfriend story did make it into either the Washington Post or the NY Times.

BuzzFlash.com - here's the link - http://buzzflash.com/
This site has some of the less mainstream media stories. This was where I first read about the Jenna Bush incident.

London papers are also a good source - they often have the stories we do not see on this side of the ocean.

E-mail and other write in tactics: at first this approach was effective, however because of the ease of 'cut and paste', the people that sort through the mail discard ones that look like spam. To have the impact we want, the letters will have to be 'individualized'.

The approach we should take is not to devise a 'template letter', but rather gather a consensus of the points we want to make and encourage individual letters.

We should also be sending out letters of support to various senators and representatives that are not caving in on issues.

Other suggestions?

We also have to determine where we are going to start. Focus on one issue at a time? Anyone want to monitor the legislation that will be coming up in congress? What about a watchdog on how various legislators vote? Just throwing out some ideas here - so add your own.
