Subject: Know someone who you think could help run WhoserCon 2002? Well, it's time to nominate them!!

Here's how we do this. Please read these instructions carefully if you want your nominations to count.

1) Think it over very carefully - this is not a popularity contest. A person can be wonderful and nice but unable to organize the convention because of things like time constraints, other issues, etc. This is a very important step.

2) Each person has ONE nomination and ONE second available to them. That means you can nominate one person, and one person only. This also means that you can second someone else's nomination, but again, only that one time. Please remember this.

3) To nominate someone, reply to this message. Put the person's name in the subject line. Please also put why you think this person would be a good choice to organize next year's convention.

4) To second someone else's nomination, reply to that nomination. Make sure the subject line makes it clear that you're seconding this nomination. Please also put why you think this person is a good choice in your own message - not everyone will know the person you're nominating as this is a big community, and it's only fair that people know what made you nominate a certain person.

5) People will only be considered as nominees once they have been nominated by one person, seconded by another, and most importantly, once they have posted in response to these messages saying whether they accept the nomination or not. If you are nominated and seconded, please post saying whether or not you are going to run for concom!!! If you are flattered by the nominations but cannot accept due to whatever reasons, please post the fact that you are not going to be able to run for the concom and you will be removed from the nominations list.

6) Yes, you can nominate and second yourself. Yes, this counts as your one nomination or your one seconding. Yes, by doing so you're covering off the whole 'accepting' rule as mentioned in the last question.

7) The thread below is for questions if any of this is confusing. My email is also available for the same purposes. Confused at all? Then use them.

and the most important rule of all?

8) Jessie (me) cannot be nominated for the concom.

All clear? Good. So start thinking about who you want to run your convention next year, and then start your nominations! You have until midnight eastern time next thursday.
