Subject: Shaky Banners

I'm reasonably pleased with the new message base. What I dislike most is that ad at the top that quivers. It reminds me of telemarketers and spammers. Why do they think you will buy something from them if they aggravate the living daylights out of you? Scroll down so the shaky banner goes off the top of the screen.

One of the things that I notice more on this message board is that sometimes people don't include their e-mail address with their messages. Some people do it inconsistently and I guess sometimes they just don't feel like typing it. Someone had suggested we maintain an e-mail directory on the webpage and I suspected that some people wouldn't want to have their addresses posted. As long as I've been posting to the message boards that I've put up, I always put my address. I get very little spam and what I do get comes from merchants that I've dealt with. In other words, if you're holding back your address for fear of a million spammers getting hold of it, I don't think that's a concern. I don't really think that outsiders would find our webpage very easily or have any interest in it.

I hope everyone is having a nice summer. It seems like we're not having so many crises now as we were a few months ago (when Valerie said she could do with a little less drama in her life!).

Everyone who doesn't post to the board within 10 days has to donate $100 to my favorite charity.

Have fun, everyone, and be safe.
