I know we were all looking forward to a lunch gathering this afternoon at the Smokey Pig, but due to the uncertainty of the weather we're getting a lot of "can't do it today" calls. Sitting here looking out the windows, the trees are blowing in all directions, much like the dance they did with Isabel. Leaves have already covered the driveway that Ray cleaned last night from the winds. The sky is really frightening... it's all shades of gray with very black clouds in the distance. Janice Shelton called and said it was very nasty looking at Lake Chesdin in Dinwiddie. They always get the bad weather before us... We can either try this again in December or have a "bring a covered dish" gathering like we did last Christmas at my house.... You all make the choice, but just let me know what you'd like to do. We can have a brunch on either Wednesday or Saturday (to include the working people) during the second week in December... (Those who attended last year seemed to enjoy themselves and we had lots of good food.) Maybe we should start scheduling the luncheons several months in advance so we can get the word out to more people... We also need to see what we can't do to update our "Deluxers E-Mail addresses and phone numbers" so we can contact all of those that we can.... If you have a list of any of the Deluxers e-mail or phone info, please send that to me at rtbaker@erols.com ..I'll be glad to compile the information and make it available to everyone who wants it. Each of us have some names and addresses, so maybe with your information, we can have better contact information. Penny, I'm sorry we have to do this... we were looking forward to seeing you again too. Hope you're enjoying Ashland and its friendly neighborhoods.
