Here is an update from Dibble received a few weeks ago:

A brief update on my life in Nashville. I spent the weekend bleeding red as my beloved Utes fell once again to the hated blue basketball powerhouse that is Kentucky. Because I am the biggest Ute fan in Nashville, I wore all my red Utah gear out to a sports bar to watch the game. Lexington is not far from Nashville, and KY plays in the S.E.C., so I was the only one cheering for Utah. After witnessing a redneck invasion as Kentucky basketball fans infiltrated the bar, I swore to always root against KY.

This summer I will spend several weeks working for the Tennessee Supreme Court. It isn't the dream job that I had envisioned, but it should provide some good experience, and hopefully it will lead me into one of the dreaded associate positions at some large law firm where I will be known as a number (although a tall number) and work 80 hour weeks under the false pretense of someday making partner. That's the dream of every attorney, right? I hope you're not considering law school. OK, I exaggerate a bit. The lifestyle of a student is pretty enjoyable, except for the month before finals week.

I just returned from spring break, which was spent in the Dominican Republic with 7 fellow law students. It was a fun trip to a very different country. When we left the USA, all we had was a return flight; no hotel reservations, no travel plans. It was an adventure as we toured the island. Two of our party spoke fluent Spanish, so they were able to negotiate the country.

I don't remember if I told you about the latest girl in my life. I met her last fall (she also is a second-year law student at Vanderbilt), and she had a boyfriend of 4 years that lived in Boston. Her name is Jen. Well, after my relentless persistence, coupled with some sweet-talking on the beach of the Dominican Republic (she came with me on spring break), I finally got her to break up with her boyfriend. So Jen and I spend a lot of time together, she has a bright future and will probably someday provide me with a better life and a larger income. She really is a cool girl and I do enjoy her company. I wonder how long it will take me to screw things up with her?

thanks for the update Dibble.
