It's not as much a matter of compatibility between the remote control and the cd-changer but between the remote control and the headunit. In the old Megane Sony, Pioneer and Alpine had interfaces to operate their headunits from the steering wheel. I am not sure if the electronics have stayed the same for Megane II but so far I have only seen interfaces for Sony. Actually Renault advertises them in their own accecories brochure. Other brands may follow of course.

The Renault brochure I have from Belgium even says they have an interface to hook up a Sony CD-changer directly to a stock radio, though I haven't seen that irl yet.

So if you go Sony you're always okay. They are also the only brand I know that has an interface that not only emulates the remote steeringwheel control, but also the original display. Currently Sony only sells an MP3 compatible 6 cd-changer in Europe, it's the CDX-T70MX.
