Thanks to all of you for your input - For the record, I might be a yank, but I know how to behave at a concert, and wouldn't dream of disturbing the performance with either shutter-snap or flash. I think I mentioned but if not - I've taken snaps at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, certainly during the interval, and was chastened by security even so. Every venue is different I've found, but I always ask before taking pictures - I will behave. :-)
