I really don't want to get into an extended debate with this person. Posting a reply in that place would inevitably lead as such. But following a posting in another place about the tragic events in Russia, how can he possibly call for the music to be changed at this night in the way he compares it?

The Last Night in 1997 had Adams "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" programmed - changed for obvious reasons. The Last Night in 2001 had the same piece programmed - again, changed for obvious and other majorly important reasons.

Tragic events will always (unfortunately) happen in the world, but how can he call for the music set in 2004 to be changed?

And as for the insulting language he uses to describe the mother of the future King of England? I am left speechless!
