 Sorry, but having re-read the original message I wanted to add this.

My family has an unbroken line, father to son, since at least 1815 of people who have seen active service. I personally don't associate the playing of "God Save the Queen" or "Rule, Britannia!" with honouring those who died in the service of their country, or those who live with the terrible memories of war to this day. I will, however, match my respect, gratitude and honour for those brave people against that of anyone else. If you want to truly honour their memory, help the community in which you live to be a better place for everyone for the future.

Apologies everyone - I'll get off my soap-box and shut up now.
