Here's a suggestion:

Why not buy a couple of the weekend passes for the arena (which allow access like a season ticket to the concerts that weekend) and once you have 6 concerts worth of weekend passes you will be eligible to purchase a Last Night ticket for the arena at the box office.

Your mother could then attend the weekend concerts, some of which look like they will be very good and the Last Night and nobody will think you (or your mother) is being unfair.
