Martin was typing into his laptop so we may some decent minutes here soon. Lots of small stuff but nothing earth-shattering. The new loos and bars are a big improvement but I fear the bars will be an awful crush at times.

Points made include: Sarah reads the message boards. (Hi Sarah! Nice ring!). The Audience Forum has been moved from 8th to 12th for reasons of staff availability. There'll be new notice boards to give better warning of programme changes, and more and more varied loudspeaker announcements. Season Tickets aren't sold out yet. Weekend Passes are limited to 75 per area per weekend and pass holders will be in the Season Ticket queues. The new bars will stock a better choice of sandwiches and confectionery but there'll be no vending machines. The Elgar Room will not open post-Prom this year but the Prince Consort Room will. The new air-cooling system is having teething troubles but is guaranteed silent. Temperatures will be monitored throughout the Hall and adjustments made where necessary. The interior cloakroom has moved to under Door 6 but Door 4 will open 15 minutes before Prommers' doors as in previous years. Sarah has taken note of past complaints about people entering the auditorium after the start of the concert and extraneous noise generally.

In response to a heartfelt plea from the Gallery Sarah promised to look at improving the lighting up there and to strive for greater consistency in how the no-food rule is applied.

Overall I thought it was a good meeting - we're starting off in a real spirit of cooperation. Long may it continue.
