All right, perhaps I have fallen into a common trap here. I wasn't in the hall, I was listening on the radio, and all I can say is that, over the airwaves, it sounded like she was consistently off the note. Perhaps she always sounds like this on the radio - certainly I've seen her live (and you can't forget a sight like that) and she was fine. I assumed she had a cold, or was just on an off day, but the Immolation scene sounded awful. Mind you, tonight's Shostakovich 5th sounded awful on R3, too, and that got a stamp, so maybe it's just my equipment (but these were two different radios... oh, forget it).
