You may be asking too much if you expect people to "come out" over their illness here. If you write to me at ino001@prommersoc.org.uk I will make sure your address is given to a manic-depressive who is very close to me.

The concert last night fitted the usual pattern of recent years. Disastrous rehearsals and not too bad a performance. Oliver Manning (steward at the Albert Hall) gave an impressive rendering of Shostakovich 2nd Piano Concerto.

We had a professional recording team in and CDs should be available in a few weeks. Details will be on the web site: . There will be no charge for the recording, but we will need the cost of producing it covered and will also ask for a donation to Orchestra Funds and the Promenaders' Musical Charities.
