One would hope that the implications of the new system have been thought through fully, but that is probably not the case.

Lets hope any teething problems are rectified promptly so most of the season will be unaffected.

I remember a very tense few minutes as the doors opened to the Last Night three or four years ago...

I was fourth or fifth in the queue for the Gallery, and was the first non-season ticket prommer. The steward on the door was new and told me that I would have to go round to door 10 and wait till 6.45 pm as stated on the ticket. Whilst I was arguing with him the rest of the queue were rushing in past the other steward, and I could see my place that I'd queued all night for disappearing.

Luckily there were more of my party a few back in the queue and they managed to stop anyone else getting in while someone grabbed Chris Moore who put the new steward right.
