LONDON (Reuters) - Just hours after being rescued in the English Channel, two Glyndebourne musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra were back performing at the famous Opera House in the Sussex countryside.

Orchestra leader Duncan Riddell and trumpeter Paul Beniston were out in their pleasure boat "High Seas" when it collided in fog with a fishing boat off Beachy Head on Tuesday.

They and three other people on board jumped from the boat and were picked up by the fishing boat. They were later transferred ashore by lifeboat. No one was injured.

A Dover Coastguard spokesman told Wednesday's Daily Telegraph: "The boat sank in five minutes, so it must have been very fraught out there."

A spokesman for Glyndebourne said: "There is relief that all five were all right. No one was hurt and that is all that matters."
