Re the steps - I was at an event at the Royal Albert Hall (Beethoven 9) earlier in April and the steps look virtually re-instated, with a lot of the hoarding taken down, but still were not accessible at that time. However, I seem to recall a notice being displayed about some sort of official re-opening of the steps sometime during May 2001, so it might be safe to assume that come the Proms they will be back to normal.

As for queueing arrangements though, I have no idea... Sorry! It was, however, pleasingly refreshing to see the Hall in its full glory from Prince Consort Road - an unexpected treat!
