Date Posted: 20:05:55 07/05/03 Sat In reply to: Aragorn 's message, "Shadow Whip~" on 19:51:22 07/05/03 Sat One of the less drunker of the men came over to sit at the table, taking the seat next to their passed out leader. "I'll tell you what I know of the elf. We all know we need help. He'd been able to out track us for half a year." The man scowled, gripping his cup. "His old master, Thrandil, had him since he turned old enough. His father had gotten him off some other fellah and had given him to Thrandil when he turned 18. Well Thrandil liked money, alot. So he figured he could use his elf to get him some. So he'd take what he wanted and then sell him off to others for some time. Got a right good deal from him too. I've only had him a couple times myself. Couldn't get him more than that, he was kept busy." The guy took a long drink. "Now, he didn't just sell him to anybody. He figured he had somethin special and not everybody should have a taste. So only us five had him at a time. Sauron had him most of the time. But ya know, I feel bad for him some of the time. I know what some of these fellows do and I don't agree with some of it. Some of it's real horrible." The guy leaned forward, glancing back at the men behind him. "Just between you and me, I hope we never find him. If it wasn't for me being friends with these guys I wouldn't have come. He's not worth it to me. I'll find someone else. That elfs been through enough. Probably scarred for life I'd bet." The man shrugged before taking another drink. "We'll stay for a week before heading someplace else." The guy paused and looked at Aragorn for a minute. "So you just better keep him away from town for a week and then we'll leave. You're pretty obvious that you know something. If Sauron wasn't so drunk, he probably would've noticed something. You're lucky, your secrets safe with me." The man smiled at him before going back to his other table.
