Bogut pretty much just followed and kept the audience built by Cordic. KD had such a morning rating it was said a chimp could run the show and still come in first. He benefitted by being on the air at the time of being the main source for school closing information. Moms would basically just tune in the radio on KD and leave it there. Generations grew up just 'trained' to listen. He also had the 3 to four weeks of the Childrens' Hospital programs broadcast from the windows of big stores downtown. Other than that, he was just 'background' noise in the mornings. O'Brien and Garry had good attempts at humor and entertainment that appealed to a different age group.
