My sister reminded me of the Sterling Yates Christmas show. I think he had Josie Carey on as well. Yates (if my memory hasn't failed me) played an old guy, but not Santa. He also did a bit as "Gnorman the Gnome", which involved an upside down face with mask and makeup to make it look right side up. Instead of the chin dropping down, it looked like the whole face raised up.
