Subject: 60s Pittsburgh AM

In the early 60's, WEEP was in the Sherwyn Hotel at the southeast corner of Blvd. of the Allies and Wood Street, where Point Park College is today. I think WWSW was in the same building, on a top floor. Am I correct? I was in the WEEP studios many times, but only once at WWSW. It was after midnight, and the all-night man looked to be at least 100 (I'm sure he wasn't, but when you're a teenager...) I don't remember his name, but he was very friendly and helpful.

Two of the WEEP DJs from that era were Bob Connors and Don Evans. Both came to WEEP from sister station WJET in Erie. When Bob left Pittsburgh he went to WTVN in Columbus, OH where he was the morning personality for many years until his retirement. What happened to Don Evans?

Happy Holidays to all, and may KQV still be with us in the New Year!
