Let me take that answer a short step further. In years and years of listening to the radio, I don't think I ever noticed that any station's DJs or announcers sounded any different because of the mic they were using. I once caught a few minutes of a nostalgia show on a radio station down in the low numbers of the FM dial when driving an over-the-road 18 wheeler. The host of the show made a big deal out of the fact that he was using a certain vintage radio mic from yesteryear for the show. I couldn't tell any difference from any other station.
