Radio Free Pittsburgh WAMO-FM's first underground rock jock was the late Ken "Brother Love" Reeth, who also was WAMO AM-FM's PD and frequently contributed memories to this board before his passing. Frank the Freak, also from the earliest WAMO-FM days, still posts here sometimes. Porky Chedwick did an underground show as "Electric Pork" from around 1968-69, and supposedly hated it. Gemini was WAMO-FM's late night jock in 1970. That was Dwight Douglas, who joined the first WDVE live staff and later became a big-time AOR consultant, as JM says.

Dan Kelley was another early WDVE staffer who moved into the record business later in the 1970s, representing WEA in Pittsburgh.

And please let us not forget WZUM, the most musically adventurous of all from about 1969 to 75, with jocks like Paul Perry (Nick's son), Kit Baron, Michael Jon and Terry Caywood. Some of the above went on to either WDVE or WYDD. Others at the early WYDD were Jay Davis (between KQV gigs) and Larry Allen.
