Depression does not cause weight gain!! Many depressed people may eat - but lots of people get depressed and can't eat (myself included).
If I have ever been "depressed", I actually don't eat, therefore lose weight.
The whole posts were (and are) about Lexapro and the tendency for weight gain.
I was on Lexapro (not for depression) and experienced major weight gain (42# in a year) though I was working out just about every single day.
