I went to my doctor last week. He informed me that Lexapro stays in your system a month after you've quit taking it. He said I could stop, without tapering off. He indicated that it is one of the best depression/anxiety drugs to hit the market in a while. I stopped it on 1/1/05 without side effects. I have gained 15lbs in 6 months, mostly in my stomach, which I normally don't gain. I've started an aggressive workout plan for the new year to get the weight off. Good luck to all.
